DEE SIGN
BSL CHOIR

The Choir meets to rehearse at Chester Deaf Centre, South View Road, Chester CH1 4JG from 10.15am to 12.15pm every Saturday.

Since taking part and winning the BSL choir competition at the Jersey Eisteddfod in 2010 and appearing on BBC 2 See Hear programme the choir has grown.

We have now reached our maximum capacity of 70 members so reluctantly have to close our books.

New members will be accepted  on a one out one in basis in February each year.

 

All ages are welcome to join. If you do not know BSL we will teach you all the signs for the songs we perform. We can also give you information on local BSL classes available through Deafness Support Network and local Colleges.

We perform on average 30 to 40 bookings a year and choir members need to be dedicated and attend at least 50% of rehearsals and performances.

Uniform is free and DVD’s are provided to assist choir members to learn the songs at home. All these remain the property of DEE SIGN CHOIR and must be returned on leaving the choir. CD’s are also available to order at a small cost
